What Makes This Hot Spring Different
Most hot spring destinations are shared — pools open to dozens of guests at once. At Kootenay Hot Springs Chalets, each chalet has its own dedicated outdoor tub. When you book a chalet, that tub belongs to your group for the entire stay.
The water comes directly from a natural hot spring on the property. It is continuously refreshed with naturally heated mineral water. No chlorine is added. No chemicals are used to treat the water.
The tub overlooks Upper Arrow Lake and the surrounding mountains — a view that changes with every hour of the day and every season of the year.

The Water
Naturally Mineral-Rich Spring Water
The Halcyon area is known for its naturally occurring hot springs. The water that feeds the tubs at Kootenay Hot Springs Chalets comes from a spring on the property, naturally heated by geothermal activity deep underground. The water contains approximately 30 naturally occurring minerals, including lithium, that are characteristic of this valley.
Note: We do not make medical or therapeutic claims about the water. The mineral content is a natural characteristic of the spring.
